The U.S. Judicial System

This image graphically describes the structure of the United States Judicial System. Keep in mind that this is the federal side of the system. Each of the 50 states then has it’s own structure as well. Most of them are similar to the basic structure of the federal courts, i.e., trial courts at the bottom, an appellate level, then the state supreme court.
